About Our Flags

BlueLine Wood Flags would like to take this opportunity to provide an official company statement regarding the issue of the Blue Line Flag (and other variants), as manufactured and sold by this company.

We believe the one and only true flag of the United States of America is that which we are all familiar with; the official stars & stripes. As our country has grown over the past 200+ years with more states being added, our nation’s flag has also changed. Currently, the United States flag as defined in Presidential Executive Order 10834, is comprised of the union (50 white stars on a blue background) and 13 horizontal red and white stripes. This executive order also describes what the colors shall be, proper dimensions, etc.

The flags created by BlueLine Wood Flags, with the exception of the actual United States flag, are NOT to be construed as U.S. Flags. Our wooden flags are nothing more than novelty items meant to honor those public safety professionals and military members who serve this great nation in various roles such as law enforcement officers, firefighters, dispatchers, EMS professionals, corrections officers and military members of all branches.

Blue line flags are often mistakenly referred to as “blue lives matter flags.” We do not endorse such a description and feel this is very misguided. Blue line flags are somehow seen by some as a desecration of the American Flag by some persons. Again, we make no claim that our flags are anything other than novelty items. They are created and sold as novelty items. Under the free speech protection of the first amendment, like any piece of artwork, our products are meant to be displayed by the private buyer at his or her discretion. We do not endorse public display of any flag other than the official U.S. flag or those flags of the U.S. States and Territories.

We hope this has been a helpful explanation regarding our position.
