Welcome to Blue Line Wood Flags! My name is Russ Tyndall and I am passionate about everything CNC! I love to design unique flags such as the thin blue line wood flag for police, the red line flag for firefighters, the yellow line flag for dispatchers and many other variations that are personal to each client.

I am retired law enforcement, located in Northern California and I spend much of my time in the shop working on new designs. In addition to serving in the United States Air Force Security Forces, I have over 30 years of varied police experience. I have served as a Sheriff’s Deputy, Police Officer, Police & Fire Dispatcher, Park Ranger and Property & Evidence Manager. I have also serve on the State Executive Board of Directors for the California Association for Property & Evidence (CAPE).

I decided to launch Blue Line Wood Flags in 2019 after obtaining my first production grade CNC machine. Like my father before me, I have always had a passion for the graphic arts. The world of CNC has allowed me to marry that passion with computers and technology to create stunning works of art for my clients.

The design process for my blue line flags (and different variants I produce) begins with you providing a few details in the product ordering section. If you desire a shoulder patch or badge graphic on your flag (or both), simply attach the image(s) to your order using our artwork upload page. Preferably, the artwork should be in an .svg or .eps file format. If that’s not possible a .pdf, .jpeg or .png file will work if the image resolution is sufficient.

Upon receiving your payment, the design process for your flag will begin. I will email you a design proof for approval before I begin the actual work. It’s important for you to periodically check your email after placing your order, as I will not begin your project until I get the final go ahead from you. Once you approve your design, its go time!

I will work with you throughout the design process to ensure you are completely satisfied. Usually, you can expect your blue line flag (or other variant) in approximately 2-4 weeks from date of order! This can change from time to time based on the number of orders I am working on at any given time. I always keep lead times posted at the top of my main website page. Keep in mind the holiday season is often our busiest. If you are planning on purchasing a flag for a Christmas gift, please have your order submitted no later than mid-November!
